There is something about blue and yellow. They work so nice together! Looking really good! Those decals look perfect!

So nice to see this this morning as I finally got a solid chance to check out some new threads here.
As you know I'm a big fan so it's great to see you starting up again and I am looking forward to following this build with you the whole way through. This is one of my favorite F1 cars of all time - are you doing Senna's ride??
So far it's looking great - solid paint work so far and the yellow is covering nicely!
Keep up the solid work my friend!

Chris, Ben, Ismael, and Adrian, Thanks guys for taking the time to checkout my build. The Yellow with the blue decals really does pop.
And Adrian, Yep, it's Senna's ride for sure.

Joel Joel I want to tell you that when ever I see someone building one of Senna's cars it really is a very special thing to see. He was the best, and taken from us way too soon. I know whenever I have built one of his rides it's always made the modelling process that much more special.
I can't wait to see the job you do on this iconic racing car Joel!

I wonder if he would have quit after that year since Sid Watkins thought he should... great looking build. Are the decals on the rear of the wing set with a setting solution? The "elf" on the right side is just ever so slightly akimbo. If it is, then it looks great.
This is a great bane of mine... I have this thing for level and my eye gets drawn to it immediately.
As to the rest of it, excellent work! I think it is a tribute to Senna! Unfortunately, the only ride of his in 1/12th is the McLaren MP4/6. My son is an HUGE Senna fan so I gave it to him!
I could be mistaken about that... I usually am.
Great looking build!

Your usual level of perfection my friend!
My only gripe when I built mine wasn't the model, but the car. When you take the body off, everything underneath it is black. The chassis, the Honda powertrain, there's no contrast to it. I resorted to 5 different blacks just to try to get some definition. I'm not a big fan of carbon fibre. And once upon a time, Honda's engines were gold.........

But for me during his time, both Mansell and the Professor Prost were my personal favorites. I still remember the epic battle between Senna and Mansell at Monaco. Joel

I can't tell you how hard I try to align decals, but with only one useable eye, up close and personal is almost impossible for me these days. I've even backed off from a lot of my detailing efforts, just trying to build the best display models I can. Joel

I resorted to 5 different blacks just to try to get some definition. I'm not a big fan of carbon fibre. And once upon a time, Honda's engines were gold......... That's one of the reasons why I've had this model on my to build list for years, but always seemed to never get around to it. Odds are once I photograph the finished model with the body shell off, it will remain on in it's display case for ever more. What I'm planning on doing is using several shades of Black including, semi Gloss Black, and Gloss Black, Nato Black, Gray/Black mix to kind of break it up some. One thing that from my poor eyesight that has jumped out at me is that CF pattern really can't be seen even in actual photographs till you get close up to it as the weave is pretty tight. So I'm going to go with a CF paint from Gravity instead. One issue that's just driving me nuts is the seat and seatbelts. They're molded as one piece. My Dremel died a horrible death, and there's no way I can by hand remove it. So I'm going to see how I can improve what's there. Joel
