Very cool Zero Ismael. I've been threatening to build an IJN aircraft. Just don't know which one yet.

Hello, This is really small. A 1/100 scale Mig 25 Foxbat. One of the fastest and most elusive Soviet aircraft of the cold war. Now, how in the world did I end up building a 1/100 Mig 25? I have no idea! I don't recall when or why I got it, or what model it is. All I remember is that I painted it with Testors Chrome Silver, and after MONTHS it was still tacky. I think the decals were applied months after and I never really "finished" it because of that. This was built sometime in the mid '90s. Obviously box stock, I noticed now the wing hardpoints were never attached. Oh well. One of my earliest efforts of metalizer finishes in the engines. Again, the decals show their age. It's always been on this base, which I think was not part of the kit. Thanks, Ismael

1/100 scale?? That turned out pretty dang good for such a small scale.

That's a good looking Cuda. 34 years ago you could have bought the kit at K-mart.

Ismael, Those are two really impressive Helio models. Considering the age, who molded them, and where you were in your modeling journey, I'd say you did an excellent job on both of them. Same for the Zero.
Before my car modeling, I was really heavy into IPMS aircraft club, conventions, and contests. And that's what eventually burnt me out. I'll try to unbox some of those models and grab a few pictures. If I ever finish the basement, they'll have their own shelves for display. Car models are all upstairs in my modeling/computer room.

Here are several of the oldest models in my display case. After I filled it up a few years ago, I've been swapping the oldest out for the newer ones, but these are some of my favorites, so they're staying. Sorry for the cell phone pics; the colors turn out really crappy. If I get motivated enough to break out the DSLR camera, I'll shoot and post better pics. All are 1/48. Hasegawa Phantom FG.1 with Waldron seat belt hardware and Almark decals. There wasn't a whole lot of aftermarket besides decals available back then, especially for this kit. This was from 1993. I built it when my oldest daughter was a newborn. It's still one of my best models. Monogram A-37B with Microscale decals and True Details photo etch from the late '90s. I had it displayed between a similarly-camouflaged F-104C and F-105D. When my daughter was about 3, I rearranged the models in the case and moved the A-37. My daughter got upset because it was separated from its mom and dad. I guess it does kinda look like the offspring of a Thud and Starfighter! Monogram/C&H Aero Miniatures RF-101G conversion from the late '90s. Still more accurate than what you can get with the Kitty Hawk kit. Monogram/Fox 3 Studios F-100F conversion. Much more accurate than the later Trumpeter kit. Any time I want to build an F-100, I'll walk past the Trumpeter kits and convert a Monogram kit. I'm like Joel, I burned out on airplanes after building them for over 50 years. Trying to build and correct the Kitty Hawk 2-seat Jaguar finally put me over the edge. Airplanes are slowly drawing me back, because I've recently pulled a Hasegawa Royal Navy Phantom off of the Shelf of Doom to put the decals on it. Ben

Ben Ben: First off ….every ONE of those aircraft builds turned out very well. No wonder you kept them around. Secondly......ANY Kitty Hawk kit would throw me over the edge. I've seen numerous build reviews and have heard plenty of horror stories to know that I'd steer clear of every one of 'em. I had a Hasegawa Arado Ar234 that nearly threw me out of the ring for building aircraft. Man that one was a toughy. Like you, I'm being drawn back to them after nearly 5 years of being out of continued practice with them.

You guys never threw anything out. I did have one house cleaning a long, long time ago. Will be posting pictures as soon as I solve my computer problems.
And Ben, I've always had a real soft spot for the A-37s. Yours really does look quite good.

Ismael, Nice collection of 1/12 scale F1 cars. And not a single one powered by Chevy.
