I've had this one hangin' around for a while. I took the body from an old Daytona Charger kit and made this out of it when I was around 16 or so which makes this one 35 years old.

Guys, what really amazes me is that you kept all these models for all these years. I do have all my Armor models (mostly Sherman's), and all but a few aircraft models from the last 25 years since I came back to modeling. But everything prior to that didn't survive my changing of hobbies.

Hello, Another favorite! Twice! In the early 90's I started digging and learning more about foreign aviation and its history. German, Japanese but specially Soviet. For some reason, the MiG 15 became a favorite. I think it is one of the best looking soviet aircraft ever made and it was a formidable fighter in its day despite its "simplicity". I found a model company called KP from Czechoslovakia that offered at least 2 variations of the MiG 15 in 1/72 scale: The regular MiG 15 fighter and the MiG 15 UTI 2 seat trainer. These kits are very simple and easy to build but look great. So I built both in the early to mid 90's: Mig 15 first production version: Mostly box stock with added wire antenna (that was straighter at the time), masking tape canopy frame and added nav lights. Soviet livery. One of my first attempts at drybrushing over aluminum paint to highlight details. As usual, decals are showing their age. Mig 15 UTI 2 seat trainer: Mostly box stock with added wire antenna (that was straighter at the time), masking tape canopy frame and INCORRECT nav lights! Should be red on port side and green starboard side. Tempted to fix it but that's history. North Vietnam livery. I think these 2 were built either together or one shortly after the other. And family pics: I think I still have one more in the stash plus the MiG 17 and MiG 19 on the same series. Also, I have somewhere a 1/48 MiG 15 bis that could be a candidate for next aircraft on the bench... if I find it And NO! I don't have any sympathy for communism, socialism or the Soviet Union. Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, This is like a walk down memory lane for me. Both Migs look great. If the antenna wire is stretched sprue, just turn the model over and pass the sprue wire slowly over a candle with the flame just blown out. The heat will shrink the stretched sprue.

one of my favorite kits to build, accurate miniatures grand sport corvette. It's on my to-do list if I ever get the decals for it. Definitely my favorite Vette ever.
