As Chris Smith and I discovered, large areas done with Molotow can take an inordinate amount of time to dry.
But yes, the look is incredible. Do you have the pens as well? Comes in 1mm, 2mm, and 4mm tip applicators. I did the running boards on a truck for my wife and they came out very nice. I find it is great for small detail applications but anything large can be problematic with drying time.

Ya I agree - it takes forever to dry no question - I have done the Wheel discs in the Molotow and I am expecting I'll need to let them dry for at least 2 weeks if not longer. Nothing else comes close to the chrome finish though - at least not that I have found anyway.

Adrian, Huge difference between the before and after. Well worth the time and effort. Joel Thank for your keen eye Joel - you are absolutely right that my first effort at the heat shield was terribly off in shape, so yes indeed it was worth the extra effort and a redo now that I see the end result

Photo Update:
Having fun working on these 2 Indy builds from 2 completely different Eras, and seeing the differences between the 2 - and they are my 2 favorite Eras of Indy/Champ car ever. 1985-1990 and 2000-2005 were my favorite Eras in Indy.
Each type of car from these eras are beautiful in their own right - each for different reasons - the Mears is just so Iconic in its relative simplistic March Chassis which changed Indy greatly.
I'm loving this build - the Yellow is crazy bright and I have discovered a Chrome paint from my Local Shop that I always wanted to experiment with. It is truly incredible I must say - considering in order to get 'True' Chrome its a 'Plating' process - but this when dry and applied correctly is incredibly damn close! I can actually see a clear reflection on the 'Heat Shelid' section I applied to the rear yesterday. And I will use it to create the polished Chrome Wheels Discs as well - which are still a work in progress to get that same mirror finish - I'm trying like hell to achieve it but we will see if I can.
This stuff literally looks like liquid Chrome Metal when it sits in a puddle.
I eye-balled the sizes of the exit pipes not wanting to damge any of the Heat Shield and I got lucky because they literally slid into place!
You are right about the Molotwo Chrome. Stuff is pure golden when it comes to chroming. I did have a question about the Mr. Super Clear. ( I may have asked about it before but darned if I can find the post). How well does it apply? Smoothly ?? Is it lacquer or enamel based? My supply of Model Master Wet Look Clear will run out at some point an I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to find any more to replace it with. I'm currently looking for a suitable replacement to decant and shoot through an airbrush. This build here is looking friggin' awesome by the way.

Ya this Molotow is crazy finicky though ... holy crap ypu havce to let it dry forever and even then you can't touch the stuff. It sure is beautiful but I've had to redo the discs 4 times now and I still don't think they are where I need them to be ... so one more stab at them tonight!

Molotow can be coated with a couple of different clears. One of which is Spaztix Ultimate Chrome Clear with some pretty dang good results I might add. There's another one but I have to dig a little to find it. It's supposed to be really good but right now you can't buy it anywhere.

Adrian, The paint finish and shine just is simply amazing. Everywhere there's details and then more details. And the interior pics are the icing on the cake.
Just one question, why the Greek statue in the background?
