Hello, Yes, I'm a Star Wars freak... ehh I mean fan. I built this TIE Interceptor but for the life of me I can't remember when. Most likely in the mid 90's. I still have the box and it has parts for a '63 Corvette I started back in '95 or so. It is the MPC TIE Interceptor from the Return of the Jedi movie. It was released in 1990. I always liked how it turned out but I took some "artistic licenses" on the color scheme and details. As part of my effort in pandemia locked-down 2020 of photographing my older builds, I took it out of the display case for the first time in maybe 2 decades. But I couldn't resist playing with Photoshop. In the hangar: Some detail: And some action shots. These are FAST! Thanks, Ismael

Nice! I'm a huge sci fi fan as well. I assume you guys have tried out the current crop of Bandai SW kits? So far, I've built the 1/72 X-Wing and Y-Wing and they're some of the best-engineered model kits of any genre I've ever built. Tamiya et al had better look out if Bandai's engineers ever get into airplanes or cars!

The Y-Wing was my favorite. All of the little pipes and greeblies fit together perfectly. I didn't use any filler at all on it.

Ismael, Nicely done. I've never been a Si Fi builder nor much of a movie fan with the exception of the original Star Wars trilogy. I'm simply amazed at how you never tossed any of your old models. For me way back when in the early 1970s, space, or should I have said shelf/display space in a small one bedroom apartment yielded very little shelf space with virtually no storage space anywhere else in the apartment. So the older models that already went the IPMS local club, Regional, and maybe Nationals contest route, when space had to be found, they got tossed. Now I truly regret those decisions, but back then I really had no other choice. Now all my aircraft and Sherman collection are stored in covered storage bins in the basement.
