OK, So this could be interesting ! Show the Favorite car (1 or 2) that you have actually owned, a description of modifications or any info You feel is important. Photos are the key, even scans of are cool.. I will start with a couple, 1969 Mustang Bench seat Coupe, 302 cid, with a Holley 2 bbl Alcohol Carb, Tuned by Don Edmunds, ran on about 60% Alcohol. Put out just under 400hp, B&M Full Manual C-4 auto trans, Polyurethane Suspension bushings all around, KYB Gas adjust Shocks, Bell Tech 1 1/2 inch sway bars front and rear. Cragar SS wheels, 225/60x14 rear and 195/60x14 front tires. The car was purchased new by my Grand mother with all the options, and I bought it from her. Bench seat with fold down arm rest ( 1 of 1800 made) Hood scoop with turn signal indicators, sport mirrors. I was a member of Pacific Mustang Club and participated with this car in most show's, rally's and meet's. Sold it to a guy who flew to Australia in 1992, and still shows it today Wish I never did that!!

One of my favorites. Daily driver every summer for years. Not fast, high maintenance, just a whole lot of fun. I should have kept it, but I feel the same way about a lot of them.
FIAT 124 Spyder, 2.0 litre, injected, full Abarth exhaust, urethane suspension, Koni shocks, fresh paint job:

My wife worked at Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys Ca. and they took this !992 Mazda RX-7 Convert with28,000 on the dial, in on trade, they detailed it and put it on the sales floor, the same time I had just cashed in some stocks, so I saw it went down and paid cash, they gave it to me for what they got it for so I made out like a bandit. What a car, ABS. Traction Control and Electronic Body anti sway program, Bose 12 speaker stereo and a built in Cell phone, BBS wheels, 5 spd, Very fast I thoroughly enjoyed driving this beauty up Pacific Coast Hwy, Top down, from my office in Downtown Los Angeles, to my home in Woodland Hills, every day, the good part was the drive from Malibu up Topanga Canyon to Ventura Blvd. in Woodland Hills, I would time it always trying to set faster times, I think my low time was 17m 18sec. If you google The route You will see what I mean, its actually a better drive than Malibu Canyon. As you can tell I kept this rare car in tip top condition...one of 4 Mazda RX-7's I owned. When I took it to trade it at the dealer I got about $8,000 more than I paid for it! It was bought by the Mazda Design Center in Simi Valley, where it resides today, so they could have an example of this rare Mazda on display. Again I really wish I still had this one.. Chris

2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. We bought it 6-7 years ago. I went back and forth with the dealer for almost six months while it sat on the lot. Neither one of us would budge, so I finally let it go. I eventually called him back and said I noticed the car was still on his lot after six months and did he want to move it yet. He accepted my offer and even gave me more than expected for my Acura RSX-S. I had broken my left foot and couldn’t drive a stick shift, so my wife drove us home. Once she heard the turbo spin up coming down the first on ramp, the car spent the rest of the drive home pretty much at the redline. After that, she spent the weekend driving it, putting almost 200 miles on it! I’ve since added a cold air intake and Flyin’ Miata exhaust, which really woke up the turbo engine. I’ve also put better coil overs and lighter wheels for better handling. It’s been a blast to drive. All of the fun of my MGs and TR7 with none of the headaches. I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. My other all-time favorite cars we’ve owned were an ‘86 Acura Integra five-door (the first car we bought together) and a rare Kauai Blue ‘96 Mazda MX-6 V6. Both we’re great cars. Neither was the fastest on the road but their handling and their “personalities” made them both a joy to drive. Quite the opposite of the RSX, which could blow the doors off of a lot of other cars but was soulless and had the worst seats ever installed in a car. I’ll post more pics when I get home and put my computer back together. Ben

Our 1980 Olds Cutlass. My girlfriend/future wife and I built it. I got fed up waiting for my painter to show up, so I sprayed the car myself (my first, and second to last!). 350 Chevy 4 bolt main small block, forged crank and rods, ported and polished heads, Edelbrock cam, intake, carb. Transistor ignition, stainless headers and mandrel bent exhaust by yours truly. 700R4 auto, shift kit, 356 posi, KYB shocks, Michelin rubber. About 375 HP and looked bone stock. The pic was taken April 88 at Niagara Falls, about 4 years after the work was done. Unfortunately it got t-boned by a Canada Post truck about a year later. Crying shame, it was a sweet car to drive.

I guess my favorite car I've owned was my 2011 BMW 335 with full leather interior and M Sport package. At least it was for 4 years, until the warranty ran out. Then it liked visiting the dealer way too much. Got rid of it in 2017. That twin-turbo in-line 6 was the best engine I ever had in a car. The only automatic transmission I've driven that made a manual superfluous. And painted my favorite color. Mike

Here is something that will make you Cry! I was working in Topanga Plaza in Woodland Hills, in 1077, when one of my fellow employee's came to me asked for a ride at lunch to pick up his new car, A 1969 Shelby Gt500 in perfect condition, cost $10,000 a lot of money back then. We went and pick it up, Beautiful Shelby Dark Blue w. white stripes, just immaculate. The sound of the exhaust was worth the ride alone! We went back to work and at the end of the day he proudly drove off south towards Ventura blvd. ..The next day He wasn't looking too good , I asked what happened? When he got to Ventura blvd. some drunk in a Cadillac ran the light, hit him dead center in the passenger side door... Pushed him out the drivers side on to the pavement. Split that Shelby right in Two! Makes me sick just writing about a car that would be worth about $1 million today if in the same condition.. Poor guy didnt have time to get Insurance on it that day..... Let that sink in! Chris

Chris, that did make me cry. Oh man.....that makes me wanna puke! That guy was really fortunate to have survived that being pushed out of the car though. I've heard too many horror stories about folks in these older Mustangs in accidents that didn't make it. I do love those cars because the just look so dang good but they were really flimsy cars.

My favorite car I owned was a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite in the picture below. I bought it from a dealer in St. Louis and trucked/drove it to northern Alberta back in 2000 (the trip is a whole other tale for another day). Previous owner swapped the 948 cc motor for a 1275 cc motor from a later Midget, and put a sport exhaust on it. The Sprite was a little rough around the edges, made you smell like burnt oil and exhaust, and could barely keep up with the mopeds in town. But man, it FELT fast being that low to the ground, handled beautifully in corners, and sounded fantastic. I sold it in 2012 to make room for the 1966 Mustang convertible I currently own. Made the switch so I could carry the four of us at once on a drive. The Mustang is in way better shape than the Sprite, but it is really only a cruiser; it is not as engaging a drive as the Sprite ever delivered. Still, it's nice to have in the garage to tinker with and take out on a sunny day. Regards, Richard
