Since this is my fourth in a series of six... I really haven’t added anything to what’s in the kit. It does have pre-made harnesses for wiring. That’s one thing about Protar. Thanks for the nice words! I have all your Ferrari builds saved on my hard drive - I have 4 of my own still to build! Well that’s flattering! I didn’t think I was that smart! I’m just not charging like Mario Cowalski! LOL!

Where’s the progress reports?!! I figured you would be done by now 😜 Well work interfered... And frustration with rehousing brittle parts that break! And lots of dry fits because the instructions are so lacking. Plenty of sanding etc... and I have to figure out how to fabricate a u joint. The wife is off to work for 48 so I’ll get to build some today and tomorrow! Thanks for encouraging me!

Where’s the progress reports?!! I figured you would be done by now 😜 This car may have been the one that ALMOST killed Lauda but it’s gonna be the death of me. I need to fabricate the two rear shafts. But it’s not gonna be that bad.

Little by little, this kit is killing me... Apparently, the two half shafts for the rear transmission are MIA. So I need to fabricate them. The fly in the ointment is I don't have the correct diameter rod. I ordered some today so it will be next week before some major progress on the rear suspension. But the wheels detail out nicely... A And I am reworking the gold on the front suspension to be a little smoother... Finally all those rubber wiring harnesses are starting to find their homes. Some are just ridiculous to get placed Thanks for looking and your comments are ALWAYS welcome! PS I am trying to throw some paint on the main body parts. The NACA ducting is almost to the final coat point. Pics to follow.

Patrick, You're making great progress, and so far your slowly beating this beast into submission.

Thanks all!
I think I am going to drill a couple of additional posts in the transmission bulkhead where it connects to the engine. A single point of contact doesn’t make much sense to me.
Waiting for a bit of nausea to pass before going to try to get something accomplished.

I QUIT!
I need to build something that doesn’t effing break with every new assembly!
The 312T2 is retiring due to mechanical difficulties before the builder gets out his 12 gauge and pumps about six rounds into it!

Ok, so maybe I won't... but I'm not sweating it. I may leave the broken front end as it is and build a setting around it... or maybe I will repair it... which is most likely... but then again...

I QUIT! I need to build something that doesn’t effing break with every new assembly! The 312T2 is retiring due to mechanical difficulties before the builder gets out his 12 gauge and pumps about six rounds into it! Been there many times. I built a Corsair a few years ago for a really good friend of mine who loves Corsairs. It was the Revell offering and anyone who knows which Corsair kit to steer clear of knows to stay far away from one of those. BUT....I didn't know that at the time. Throughout the course of the build it ended up in the trash can 3 times but I'd drag it back out and commence building on it again. After 3 months of grueling punishment I did end up finishing it and gave it to him for a Christmas present. The guy nearly fell out when I gave it to so in the end it was worth all the frustration. Hang with 'er bud. I've got a feeling this here will be worth it all too.

Patrick, Boy do I feel your pain and frustration. After all, I just shelved, retired, tried to forget about my Lotus 49b which was basically my lack of a skill set for a conversion, not the kits faults. Yours is just the opposite. My honest advice is just to box it up for now, and build either a newer Tamiya 1/12 scale kit, or drop down in scale and just take your pick that's out there.

I too feel your pain! Sitting in a prominent place on my Shelf of Doom is a Trumpeter A3D Skywarrior that I parked out of frustration many years ago. It's okay to find something else to tinker with for a while. The Ferrari will still be there when you decide to get back to it. Unless you give it away to an unsuspecting friend like I'm thinking of doing with the A3D. Ben
