Calvin, Watched your vid on your You tube channel earlier today. Love how the full conversion fits. The finished model really looks quite good.
I still can't believe that you're getting all of your builds done within a weeks time.

Glad to see the different Turbo intake/bump kits available. The original kit I built came out very nice, ( Foyt Copenhagen ) just have to finish the chassis, there was so many different combo's on the bumps but You have most of them now. I may have to get more to do the Akin Coke 962 IMSA car.. Chris

Chris, I really need to get a few myself. Thank goodness that Calvin is doing as many different ones as our paint/decal options just get better and better. Joel

Joel Yes, its pretty easy to make the conversion parts fit and as you can see, you don't have to get perfect cuts, just as long as you glue it on straight and fill in the gaps with the right putty. LOL, I plan these builds out ahead of time. Ive built so many kits over the years I know what all needs to be done at what deadline during the week.

I'll be coming out with the 1987 "Cokahama" Akin 962 next, I already drew up the decal sheet for Indycals

Calvin, Glad to read that you're going to have conversions for both the Tamiya and Hasegawa kits, as I'm more inclined to build the Tamiya kits these days.

Calvin, Nice build. I'm really glad that you picked this sponsorship package as it really stands out from the main Red, white, and Blue one.

I Like it, too! I think the Castrol and Wynn’s liveries do a lot to hide some of the car’s odd shapes.

Calvin, Now that's quite an impressive build for sure.
Don't laugh, but one thing of the things I've learned from your videos is how to properly paint with a model paint rattle can. The results you consistently get are top quality for sure. While I'm a die hard Air Brush guy, there's plenty of small, quick paint jobs that I'd much prefer to use a one step application like a rattle can, as prep, paint, and clean up for the same job with a air brush is 3 times longer, and more often then not I've got more then one or two applications to do.
Do you pre-heat the can in a bath of hot water before use?

Joel Honestly, I'm actually pretty reckless with the rattle cans on my videos, Im holding my phone in one hand and pretending to be somewhat painting. LOL its hard, I need a better setup to show how I truly paint. If the can is cold I will warm it up, either in the sun or warm water. I honestly don't put too my thought into it. I'm going so fast on these builds that I honestly don't think. I'll do airbrush if time is on my side and I have the right combination of paints. You may notice I change paints often and that's simply because of either, not having a particular brand of paint, how much time I have or paint not working with other brands.
