Good news to report. The Shadow decals for the new kit are finally only about one hour away from where I live. A town called Warrendale PA. WOHOO! Hopefully the pony express can get the horse and buggy out to deliver it. If all goes well, I should be shipping the new kit out next week. I know I said that two weeks ago but this time I have a good feeling. Keeping my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed for luck. p.s. If you order both kits, I am offering a packaged deal. If interested, send me an email at silvercitymodels@comcast.net. Thanks again. Kevin. p.s. If you order both kits, I am offering a packaged deal. Kevin, I'd say both models are impressive for sure, as you craftsmanship is consistently outstanding.

Joel, I have several of Kevin's Excellent kits including the first Shadow and the 78 Arco Graphite Eagle. They are not complicated and the Mini CD that comes with them is a piece of work in its self. Well worth every cent spent No Doubt. I did have the rewarding experience of helping Kevin with some details and photo research work, since I have first hand experience with both Dan Gurney and AAR and Don Nichols , the designer builder of the Shadows ( My Dad worked on both cars ) and I was a youngster hanging around at both shops. A little know fact on the Shadow, Don had asked my Dad to have the 10 inch front wheels made for him through one of my dad's contacts. 10 in. dia. X 16 in. width inch if I remember, so once delivered they were trying to figure out how to get more efficient brake cooling on such a small diameter wheel, My Dad told Don they looked like the same diameter as the engine cooling fan on Our Corvair Greenbrier Pick Up , they checked it and well the rest is history as they say, that is what they used....Chris

Chris, Thanks for the vote of confidence in Kevin's models, and the boost my Mojo needs to finally take the next step as so much of the plastics being offered these days besides GT3 isn't a great interest to me. As for the cooling/fan story, I loved it. I can't tell you how much I wished I was right there with you as a close friend growing up in those times. Unfortunately, living on Long Island since the late 1950's wasn't a heaven for road racing other then Bridgehampton, and I had zero ways to get there till I got a license and a car.
My plan of attack is to purchase one kit at a time, keeping the 1st few really simple, then moving on to some of the Indy cars with engines/transaxles as I gain experience and confidence. Right now I'm waiting till after Xmas to place order #1 which will be this weekend (just wanted to avoid the last minute holiday shipping crisis). I've got the kit already picked out of my short list, and it's an Indy car.
