JC, I want one in the worst way. But a few things that are concerning about this ki by Ukrainian Scale Cars Production. Right now all we have are CAD drawings, which is a far cry from a complete set of molds to produce the kit. These guys specialize in small resin AM parts that are extremely well detailed, so I'm going to assume that this will be a resin/Multi media kit. Is the kit a curbside, a curbside on steroids like Beemax/Nunu, or a fully detailed kit with engine/trans, and suspension. And the really big question of price. Their resin add ons for existing kits are super expensive, so this kit could just break my bank.

This looks as intimidating as it looks promising. Very crisp molding; photo-etched parts the width of a flake of dandruff. But they seem to have captured its lines...

What I don't quite get is how Big Styrene have avoided putting out a kit of this thing since the advent of injection molding. It's not exactly an obscure subject, and I've seen and bought mainstream kits of far-less well-known little European totems. I mean, people have spent money to cut dies for mass-production 1/24th DeTomaso Mangustas.

Unfortunately Porsche demands Very High Royalties for their design and intellectual properties, I know of several low volume Resin Casters who received Cease and Desist letters from Porsche's fine legal Team. I mean after all some one selling a resin 1/24 scale 550 Spyder might effect their Top End and Gross Annual Profits and could conceivably lead to Bankruptcy !!! Yeah Right. Chris

Chris, Unfortunately, this is what our world has come to these days. You would think that the companies would be thrilled to have their cars whether race or street modeled as free advertising of their brand. As you said, not getting a few bucks per sold model most surely equate to lost revenue of a high percentage of their annual sales with some cars costing well north of 6 figures. Joel

I've got one on pre-order, direct from the manufacturer. Because I'm deathly afraid of ruining both, I asked them to add a couple of extra vacuformed windscreens and an extra photoetch set, which they immediately did for what I consider a pittance. Now I'll have NO EXCUSE not to take a stab at actually finishing a resin model.
Kind of stoked about this one. With luck, it may arrive in time for long weekends at the summer place, where I can actually paint things with an airbrush. I'll either paint it deep red or Sunoco blue, I'm thinking.

Just picked mine up at the post office. Looks every bit as good as the pictures suggest. Casting quality is very fine- reminds me of my Model Factory Hiro RSK. Well-packaged, with a professional little instruction booklet. And, they remembered to include my extra windscreen vacs and photo-etch frets. These people are not messing around.
It's gonna be red.

Will do, sir. I intend to photograph it for a work-in-process. Testing the attachment feature:
