Hey yall!
Its been some time since I did the model car forum thing, lost a bunch of the old forums I WAS on, and I have been missing some of that as of late.
Thanks to COVID I have been able to kick my building into high gear so I figured now would be the time to show off some of my new stuff, meet some people, trade tips and tricks, etc..
About me:
Wisconsin modeler, member of the AMG, if you have been to contests or shows in the midwest you might have seen me, the black cowboy hat is my giveaway! I race cars in the summer, I have an 84 Corvette that I use in the SCCA, WRL, and even the 24 hours of Lemons. I also guest drive for other race teams in the enduro style race series, Lemons, Champ car, etc..
About my models:
I build a bit of everything, but MOST of what I build is big bore road race cars. So Trans Am, IMSA GT, SCCA GT, rally, etc...from all time periods but the 80s are my favorite most days. Thus I figured this place would be a good place for me to set up camp and see how things go.

Welcome to the Board.
Former GT1 owner and driver as well, however long since retired.
Owned four cars during my “career”, 69 A-Sedan Camaro, IMSA wide body Corvette (never raced it though), C3-chassis/Pickett body GT1 Corvette, and tube frame/Trans Am-spec 86 Camaro.
If you check some of my threads you may see pictures of them.
Looking forward to seeing your builds.
I work exclusively in 1/18 scale diecast.

Welcome to the forum, tiptoe. If you like model racecars, this is the place to be. And from the looks of it, it doesn't hurt if you do the 1:1 thing.

Trying to figure out picture posting (still!!) Is that a recycled Corvette Challenge car? LOL nope! Not at all. Me and my team made it. About 5 years ago we destroyed our Camaro racecar (complete loss, driver in the hospital not good) and as we were picking it apart one of my team asked if we could do something other then an F body this next time? We tossed around a few ideas, but I pointed out we should stay GM because of all the spare parts I have. My buddy found this nasty, moldy 1984 in a....not so nice part of Milwaukee. The rest is history! Team effort, I built the motor, my boyfriend did the tiger stripes, one of my crew welded the cage, my dad did the fiberglass fills/fixes etc. I'll post a few pics in the racecar section I think!
