This will be a re-issue of the Fujimi Ford GT Mk 1 kit. Looks like it will have the 1968 LeMans winning markings. This version has the most aftermarket items available for it, from a full overhaul kit from KA, to Historical Racing Miniatures set that gives you the rear suspension and engine. Price TBA.

Does this kit have removable body panels and an engine? If it does I want two of them!

Paul, Same here. I've got a few of the Fujimi kits in my stash but never seem to get the urge to build them.

Very nice as far as it goes, I guess it would be easy enough to come up with a small block Ford to add to it. Exhausts might be a bit of work. I'd grab one if the price is reasonable. I'd have to source some other bits to build a 64 version that I want, like some narrower wheels and tires, but it's doable. Thanks JC.

I hope I'm wrong on this but... Something to do with safety in Germany with regards to photo etch in the revell ré releases... Often when revell release a kit from another manufacturer under licence the kit won't contain p etch. This has happened before with the Hasegawa Toyota Corolla WRC car they the released and I think the same applied to the Ford Focus WRC and a few others that don't spring to mind.
I know the Fujimi GT40s contain a small p etch for the mesh on the rear of the car.
(edit : this version didn't contain any p. Etch anyway 🙄🙄)

That would make life a whole lot easier. I've used his stuff before and it's absolutely top quality, but unfortunately he doesn't have any more.
I do have one of his 289 engines, but I need it for my F5000 yet to build.

JC, Good to hear that those engines are restocked as the site has them as sold out. I would really like to try out one of his engine/suspension kits as the plate that Fujimi used to cover the "no engine" space in their Ferrari 330 P4 still is a eye sore whenever I do look at my build from a few years ago. I guess that's the main reason why both Fujimi GT40s I have are still in their respective boxes.
