Paul, The 956 turned out to be just like the winner she is in real life. Just another outstanding build my friend. Love the decaling job you did. I've always been fearful of trying out Indy Cal's decals with the secondary colors. I'm amazed at just how well you got them to work especially around the headlights. I can't tell you just how long it took me to mask, and then paint the dark Rothmans Blue, then lay down the Gold and Red stripping. You got it all done perfectly in way less time. joel Thanks guys. Joel, less time yes but not perfectly. The side decal I applied in 2 pieces and joined it back where it's narrow, right above the front wheel arch. Easier and a better end result for me - I've done it in one piece on other kits, major PITA!. The hard part was keeping the register correct on the "Rothmans" letters, where the engine cover mates to the body. On one side I got the letters pretty good but the stripes don't line up, the other side the stripes are right on but the letters are a bit off. Nothing I could do, but I think it looks OK. You all know how much I love pinstripes so anything I can do to avoid them........

Paul, The only thing that really counts is the end results, and I'm telling you that you nailed it in your posted pictures. As for pin stripping, did I ever show you this little gem that nearly drove me even more blind then I already am? joel

Thanks Ismael, and Joel I have one of those but mine's bigger.
Anyway, got the part from Shapeways, they come 3 pairs on a tree
very high quality as always.

So, finished. Not the show car you guys can produce, but just scruffy enough for my "ready to race" tastes:
The brake ducts are the finishing touch, it just doesn't look right without them.
I also added the missing shifter rod that's also quite visible:
All in all, a really nice kit to work with, one of Tamiya's best in my opinion. When you have a quality product to start with it's worth it to add all the extras.
Thanks for tuning in
Paul
(now back to sanding drywall...........)

Great build there, Paul.
Now if we could just get the stupid kitmakers to somehow stop casting the rubber tires with that line down the middle, especially on tires with treads!

Great build there, Paul. Now if we could just get the stupid kitmakers to somehow stop casting the rubber tires with that line down the middle, especially on tires with treads! Wouldn’t that be glorious.

Paul, As I've said numerous times through your build, you just really nailed it. You put mine to absolute shame for sure.
