Art, the white stuff around the flares and on the body isit a spot putty? What kind and brand? Since these cars are just stripped down and modified factory production cars it is safe to assume the color of the uni-body and other underbody areas will be the same as the Car color, I dont know if the Japanese manufactures were dipping cars to paint them or spraying them but it was all the same at least on all the Japanese cars I have owned, Mazda, Toyota etc.. I'll be following this one for ideas! I have decals to do a Janet Guthrie SCCA version.

Chris Chris, thanks for the info. That makes me feel better about ithe color choices! The white stuff is just some Tamiya surface primer from a bottle I applied with a brush. I was just trying to fill in some fine scratches from my errant exacto blade and also fill in the seams on the fender flares a little. There is one little spot of Bondo glazing putty I added on the right side where the door line meets the hood line as it was a little cavern there. I'm not sure if it came that way or if I did it trying to deepen the panel lines.

Art, the thing I like about your builds, they are clean! Clean, Clean , Clean. I always admire anyone that has clean building methods. That is one thing that I still haven't got down yet........I still build like a Tasmanian devil!

Calvin,
What I find really cool about model building as a hobby is that there are so many great builders who all have a particular style and I appreciate them all. I love the way you build the subjects you build and the speed at which you do them. You have an artistic talent I wish I had, and a shelf full of subjects I wish I had too!
And I appreciate the way Patrick builds historically significant subjects based on toys! They're awesome! It's all awesome!
Thanks for looking, guys...
