Ben, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished decaling with the SK decals.

Much better! I still have to go back and tweak a couple of spots along the lower sills with Solvaset. There are some bad compound curves there that even SK decals struggle with. After I clearcoat the body, I'll just need to paint the black areas and put it all together. Ben

I finally beat this one into submission. It was saved by great decals, otherwise it would be still sitting in the box on a shelf. I didn't have as bad a problem getting the body to fit the chassis as Ismael did with his, but there was still a lot of clamping, twisting, and super glue involved. Some of the parts are under so much tension, if it gives way, I might be in danger of flying shrapnel! So, final verdict: the fit and molding quality of the kit reminds me of an AMT kit; it's nowhere near the same league as Tamiya, Nunu, Fujimi, or Aoshima. The Decalcas decals were crap. Their masks are excellent, though. SK decals were outstanding, as usual. Ben

Ben, Congratulations on an outstanding build, and beating the kit into a faithful replica. Love the paint/decal scheme. I to love SK decals as I just bought one of their sheets for my M8 build.
My only real concern is those parts under pressure with CA glue, as it don't melt to bond the plastic, but just sort of holds them in place. I've had parts pop with CA glue for that very reason. Sure hope you beat the odds on that issue.

Thanks, Joel! I used a combination of super glue and Tamiya Extra Thin to force everything together. There's no good way to clamp the body to the chassis until the plastic hardened, so those parts had to be tacked in place with super glue. Like you, I don't normally like to use super glue to hold parts under tension, but in this case, it was brute force or nothing. Ben
