Not terribly impressed. If the parts are produced as shown, it looks like a LOT of simplification and many parts are webbed together or connected in unrealistic ways, probably a hold-over from 3D printing/modeling. Also, the belts are incomplete, just a pair of suspenders, hopefully they will provide a complete set in the production model. Also, the same vents and scoops will need to be opened as on the 1/12 version, much more tedious and touchy to do in 1/24. I'll wait and see if someone provides some pictures of a production version before I shell out my $$.

Hopefully, it will be a decent model with way more detail then the Fujimi kits offer. Worst case scenario is to combine both kits if that would be possible. Just the fact that it will have a basic engine and transaxle is a big plus.

I don't get all the fuss to be honest. If you want a well detailed kit with engine transaxle etc why not just get a Union/IMC/Heller or whatever it was. I know the body parts don't usually fit but they can be persuaded, or you can take the inner workings and graft them in to the Fujimi with a bit of creativity (yes I know the scales off a bit, but it's a possibility). And the kit comes with 3 different engines. Probably a lot cheaper than the Meng kit too!

Paul, One would 1st have to locate one of those kits, and if the scale is indeed off, then the whole rear suspension would be off as well. I'm just not that good of a modeler to correct issues like that.
Detailed OOB kits these days do test my aging abilities for sure.

One of these days I might try to build it. I prefer 1/24th, but 1/25th doesn't make that much difference.
