Put a mug of tea and a fag in his hand, never be mistaken for Mr Williams then. Some Americans will be confused by the fag in his hand! ;-)

Morning folks!
I'm tempted to start another 1:12th Trumpeter GT40 thread just to be used for Q&A's and as a depositary for images and technical information. Is this a sound idea, or too much? I thought it may stop folk getting sidetracked on their own build logs as I'm always weary of polluting other peoples threads. I've got a question or two for it already!

Welcome to operation Franken40! After saying I was happy with the majority of the Magnifier body, the air scoop swage line on the doors was doing my head in. I've raised it at least 1/8" and enlarged the side window openings so that the bottom of the window sits just below the screen base. Looking more like a GT40 now. This gave me an issue with the top of the duct not lining up with the new swage position. Out with the saw and hey presto! I've tried to have the cut line so I can move the part upwards 2mm with the minimum amount of re-profiling...only time will tell! Note, I've already put a fillet in the bulkhead profile as it should be a relatively even width from the waistline, up. It tapers on the kit. Next up, I'll move the door handle back and upwards as it's in the wrong place and I'll move the rear clam fasteners forwards...that's wrong too! Johnny Attachments:

OK, so very, very roughly, roughed in and looking more like it for me. Quite a lot of changes in just this area. Handle dimple filled. It will be filled again and moved. Side window enlarged, lowered, larger corner radius and made almost parallel to the door trailing edge. Bulkhead made continuous width, top to waistline crease. Air vent moved behind door edge. Still not happy with this and it will be moved nearer the door. Door swage upper line filed away to be higher, leaving the right width horizontal gap to the window bottom. Both vents raised to reduce upper vent size, increase lower vent size and create alignment with new upper swage line. Johnny Attachments:

Johnny, Impressive amount of detail correction work, but from what I can does make a difference to the overall look of the model.

I think it makes the overall body look more accurate, but it really needs to be in primer before a can make a decision. I find the patchwork quilt joins really distracting on the eye at the moment. Meanwhile, I am having a total nightmare sculpting Little Ken's duffle coat! Nothing to see here for a while! Johnny

Johnny, I've never been able to even paint a figure, and your scratching one of Ken Miles that looks just like him. You could always work on both the car and the figure.
