Great builds!!! Also, thanks for the mention of the people who printed you decals. I’m looking for a service like that for a couple of projects, once I finish the artwork.

Shawn are the windshield wipers PE? If so what manufacturer are they?

Shawn are the windshield wipers PE? If so what manufacturer are they? Thanks everyone.
The wipers for the HR31's are from the Studio27 PE sheet and the wiper for the R32 is from Aber. The metal that Aber uses (nickel silver?) is soft but sturdy and it's very easy to deal with. Here's some pics
I find that PE wipers by themselves are very fragile and don't stand up to handling very well so I have found a solution to that by adding the arm from the original kit wiper which makes a world of difference. Just cut the kit wiper arm to fit the wide part of the PE arm. and glue it inside the PE arm. you can see the gap between the sides and the top of the wiper arm just fill the gaps with CA glue and talc (or baking) powder and sand it smooth. Glue on the blade and paint it matt black.
When you are using a wiper from another PE set just remove the silly mounting areas that they give you and cut the kit wiper arm where you want it as above.

Great info on the wipers install Shawn. I have some PE wipers but haven't attempted to use them because the looked very difficult to install. I'll give your method a try.

Love seeing such crisp, attention-to-detail modelling of (to me, anyway) such non-mainstream subjects. I applaud your focus, and your craft.

I do try my best to replicate what I see in my reference pictures. For me there is no such thing as an out of box build as there is always things like mirrors, exhausts, wheels, rollcages etc that need to be changed. There are some kits that can don't need many changes to replicate their 1:1 counterparts but for the most part there aren't many kits that I could just change the decals and be happy with the finished product. I've seen dozens of models where the builder was happy to just slap an Australian livery on something totally inaccurate but for me getting the model as close as I can is all part of the fun/challenge.

Hello Shawn. Do you have any pics of how you do the wheels for the HR31s? Do you mod the kit wheels or have a resin master that you cast? I have a DR30 that I want to do as George Fury factory car and those wheel are unique. Cheers, Greg (BNE)
