Mike I am sorry to hear about your loss, I know it can be devastating, been there too. I had a Brain Bleed a while back and I know some of my skills were lost but I am still building and trying to finish some long term Projects. I was for many years building only drag stuff not really replica's but always to the NHRA rules book. Thanks for sharing your build. This Altered is Fabulous, No doubt. I hope we can see some new stuff from you soon. I have a couple of friends that are modelers that live in Germany and they, like you are Great Model Car builders too. Stay in touch..... Chris

I’m so terribly sorry for your loss. Words don’t help much, I know. Thank you for stopping in to share your completion with us. I do hope the urge to model may return but definitely can understand. Glad you’re enjoying the new town though!!

Mike, My sincerest condolences for your loss. Being in our mid 70's and neither of us in the best of health, we both had some close calls in recent years. Just can't imagine being on my own after nearly 41 years of marriage.
Your completed build is truly a master piece.

Chris Hi Chris! Good to read you're keeping on. Just yesterday, opened the box marked, 'Sidewinder Dragster May 2020'. I thought about you, remembering how special this one is to you and your childhood.
I'm doing well now, just saying the EU bureaucracy kicked me good, after the fact. A full year of dealing with these fools had me down so badly, I was screaming for help. Finally got all issues past me now, just still trying to catch my breath. I was beaten and weak.
One project though, mostly done, needs only plug wires and zoomies, and body sanding then painting. All sub-assemblies are done. A fuel altered Fiat, 1:16. maybe I've even posted here, don't remember.
Promise, when I'm finally able to handle a sheet of sandpaper, I'll post. I promise.
Mike

Glad you’re enjoying the new town though!! Friend, it was my intention to inform of my absence. After a sentence or two, the crap came back in my face, didn't mean to really relate misery. Just, it all comes back. You are right, no way to even prepare, but words do help.
Very kind of you to offer yours. All I need to do, is get a sheet of sandpaper and start smooth strokes on a fine, 3d, 1:16 Fiat. Easy.....I wish.
Yes, I've been kind of adopted by a fine fireman's family here. I'm 73, family is everywhere and these folks party at the slightest chance! I'm always invited, makes me proud. Most have never spoken with an American. Some are old and remember things. I'm proud to be accepted.

I tried to talk with my wife about the eventual, she mostly refused. Just, we both agreed, sell and downsize. Such I did. I'll easily write, a great thing, although painful, was to rid the wife's clothing and pack up the belongings you like, toss the rest. A clean break. Family crystal, old Chinaware, toss it. Packing had me so busy, I had no time to deeply mourn and to fell sorry for myself.
I regret nothing. After 47 years and 2 days, I was alone, first time in my life. Some 2 years on now, I'm OK, found a new life on my own. I miss her dearly, I've accepted. Be strong, have a plan of sorts, enjoy every single DAY!
Thank you for your friendship.
I'll be back. Mike..
