Hey Chris, check out page 20 of my GT40 build and let me know your thoughts about filling in and sanding smooth the "speaker grille" and also about painting the vents on the dash.
I also would appreciate your thoughts about race weathering the car. I always try to push myself to try something new and this might be the one to try it on...
Thanks in advance!

Chassis finished, ready for the body! My quality control officer is inspecting every detail to make sure I’m on point 😁

That’s some amazing work! Given the amount of work you put in and how much cats like to experiment with gravity, I’m not sure I’d let one get within a mile of that model! Ben

Chris, I've been trying that for more then 40 years with my wife, and at best it's had marginal success every once in a while/

I'm confused. How do you own a cat and build models??

I'm confused. How do you own a cat and build models?? Paul, you should know that nobody owns a cat. They own you.

I'm confused. How do you own a cat and build models?? I have 4 of them😲 They mostly stay away from my work space, every now and then they steal my attention from what I’m doing 😁

Our cat, whose named Evil for very good reasons, is only allowed to come into my model room when I'm in there, but can't seat or should I say lay anywhere near the intake fans of my computer, and on the opposite side of the room from my bench. For paint sessions he's banned from the room, and the door is closed. I vac and dust the room every week. My spray booth when not in use is kept covered as an extra precaution, yet his small hairs do every so often end up settling from seemingly no where when I'm painting.
He's never tried to jump up on my bench or even eye my display unit.

Chris, The rear engine compartment is just beyond words. It looks as real as a model could possibly look, and like I said if you photo shopped it with a realist background, I certainly couldn't tell that it was the real deal. That's how good it looks to me. Can't wait to see the body take shape.

So I started building models again after a 40 year break.
She now realizes that cats were a hell of a lot cheaper.
ps: all of my cats would have assumed that model car parts were put on earth for their amusement, and taken the appropriate action.

I have had a wheel go missing for a wile, until I heard the tell, tell sign of plastic being scooted across the hard wood floors....🤣 They mostly jump onto my chair after I get up.
