This guy had a rough time with the MFH 956 and eventually just chucked it: LINKI won’t criticize anyone who gets fed up and throws a kit out, since I’ve done it before. I just hate that he had such a bad experience with such an expensive kit. He has a couple of other threads on Hyperscale’s car forum and the work he had already done looked great. Ben

Too bad the guy didnt get in touch with MFH they would have replaced the parts or even the whole kit as needed at no cost. Outcome is not guaranteed lest I say it is based on patience, talent, ability and experience. Not to mention had he been on our Form he would have had 200+ Builders, of the finest quality modelers, to guide him through his $1,000. problem. Now he will just complain about it for a long time.... Chris (Trash Really he could have recouped maybe 1/2 by selling the parts!)

I was going to point him in this direction until I saw in his post that he had thrown it out. I hadn't been following his other threads, so I was too late to try to help.
Far too many people will go on multiple forums to complain about a kit/manufacturer/seller without having first tried contacting the one person (the manufacturer/seller) who could probably help. I see it on the 1/1 car forums I frequent, too.
Again, I don't want to criticize the guy for how he handled a frustrating experience. I'm nodding my head in sympathy.

Ben, I've never heard of a horror show like that before. Sure, those kits take a lot of work just to get it assembled correctly, but screws not working correctly, and suspensions falling apart. One really has to wonder just how much of these issues was caused by him.

As a modeler who has gone to the dark (white metal) side, I don't think he was mentally prepared for a MFH kit. They are more like a real car, in that you get a collection of parts which must be fitted together. I've seen too many MFH 956's assembled to believe that the kit is a lemon.
He mentions the suspension as being non working. I don't know of many kits that have working suspensions. Since all holes need to be drilled, I suspect he drilled the holes to large. I haven't had any problems with screws coming loose like he mentioned. It's too bad he spent all that money on a kit only to throw it into the trash.

It’s too bad he didn’t contact anyone. My feeling is he thought it was more than a static kit. I would have to say from personal experience, a Porsche is a very difficult kit, especially for your first Hiro kit, but hey I have 3 😉
