My dad owned several MGs over the years and was one of the founding members of the NC MG Car Club. Back in the '90s, I built this for him for his birthday or Father's Day, I can't remember. I built a second one in British Racing Green for one of Dad's friends who owned one in that color. Dad displayed it in his office until he retired, then moved it to his home office. After he passed away, Mom boxed it up and couldn't remember what she did with it (her dementia had her doing all kinds of weird things). Last year, when we were cleaning out her house to sell it, I found the model in a box in a closet. It's sitting on my bookshelf now. I'm not sure of the history of the kit, but I think it was originally issued back in the late '60s and has been reissued by a variety of companies over the years. I don't remember too many issues building it, other than the bonnet hinge was a little fiddly. Miraculously, I somehow managed to get a good finish using gloss enamel on this and the other one. Ben

Ben, So glad you found that model and brought it home for all to see, and for the memories associated with it.
