Afternoon Fellows, Just received two boxes of slides my late brother Chuck Richardson took at Mid America Raceways from 1964 - 1965 and I had Walmart put on DVD. Posting for your pleasure today. Triumphs, Sprites and Bug Eyes. Except for the TR-3 it's hard for me to tell the TR4, Spitfires, TR6 etc apart. If you know the cars or drivers, please reply for the historical buffs, Thanx, John.

And how effective are any of those roll bars?

Little bars of soap with engines and wheels: My favorites. Lovely post.
(Car 32 seems to have made a grave map-reading error. Either that, or he's even worse at parallel parking than I am.)

I believe the spinning bug eye #32 is one of our fellow posters, he said replying to my other MAR thread that he had driven at MAR and had flipped his Bug eye in a muddy shoulder and landed back on all 4! I hope this is him so he can see the actual event! I can't find the updated thread with his post, it was just within the last two weeks or so.

Some "Big Stuff" at MAR sometime 1968. Box of slides evenly distributed all classes which is good. I don't remember some which I should have but at least we have photos which don't forget. Today I'll do some Corvettes, Cobras and GT-350s. The white 427 snake was Jack Hurt and was the snake in Elvis's Spin Out movie. The Blue 427 unsure of, Dick Smith was there but his 427 was two tone blue if I'm not mistaken. The Yenko DXs were Don Yenko and who else? Shelby GT-350s # 7 or 71 was Mack Yates or his other driver. A good rear shot of Dick Durants B/P Sting Ray. Other cars I'll post some soon. Got some unknowns I'd like some help identifying. Model car's project wise, working on : Four Vette GS Coupes, Two GS roadster, Two B Production Sting Rays. One 1962 GS "Mule", a 61/63 Split Personality stying prototype. Mail man just dropped off Two Accurate Miniatures GS chassis and a Body/interior. I don't need the body just interior parts. I've got TWO (2) Accurate GS coupe bodies in their bags and all body parts and glass and about a Dozen Halibrand mag wheels trimmed off their trees (no knock off's) excess parts for sale $20.00 for all and postage. Thanx for viewing, John
