My use of Tamiya has been a progression of technic, or trial and error over the years, basically I'm lazy! This will freak you out but that is One Coat of paint, no primer just a light overall sand to etch the factory shine off the plastic. The temperature 71 degrees In this case it matters a lot , painted in my shop on a no wind day, to keep dust and airborne particles at a minimum. Wipe down with a Tac-cloth and paint it. Then take it inside my inside office where the temp is about 78 and let it cure. For a few days before handling. That's all folks.. Chris

I tried the first decal and of course it self destructed, I have sprayed the entire sheet with Clear gloss to hopefully make the rest of the sheet usable. I cant afford $45. to replace the sheet with a fresh one so if it doesnt work out a change in livery may be the result... Chris

Clear coating the decals didnt work.... I am looking through my 4 binders of decal sheets for something different. I hope I come up with something different and cool looking. Either way I am going to finish this car up and maybe decal it later. Chris

Great paint job Chris, Which red is it TS-49 or TS-86? .It's a shame about the decals, I was looking forward to how that was going to look with those jagged stripes.

After a careful search of many, many decal sheets and some consultation with Yolanda I have decided the Toyota gt2000 will be the MOMO GT2000 ! Since I didnt want to repaint it and I have a ton of work into it, I will begin to decal it Monday morning with results to come soon!! Chris

That really sucks about the decals. Good luck with the new decals this morning.

A Sneak Peak of the MOMO GT2000 Toyota. I must have cut decals for about 4 hours Monday, Cady made great decals but layering each color is a pain and trimming them close to the printing is a challenge on some. I am working on it more today and hope to have the Livery done. Then it on to detail work..... Chris

Nice job. I like both fictional builds and accurate builds almost equally. At least with fictional builds the colour will never be wrong. (My avatar is obviously a fictional build!)
