Paul aka 2whl, I was going to post the exact same thing! MFH does that for you and if you happen to have bought that kit, you have paid a real good price for a "buck" on which to do mesh covers for a Ferrari 156 Dino. Small aftermarket profile but it is there! LOL! If you look at the mesh covers on my C2, they were made using the non pointy end of a x-acto knife as the male and the cap from a sharpie pen as the female.
A somewhat more economical method.
Whatever works! Sounds brilliant!

Thanks for all those great photos! I downloaded a bunch of them for reference! I put them all on a red thumbdrive because I know the red will remind that is where the Ferrari stuff is located! LOL!

I saw this solid intake covers on the #4 and I liked it, with the small intake scoops just behind it is a little different. I dont have the info on which year or race this appeared. Chris

Chris, I am going to go with the mesh covers. The smaller intakes on the rear deck lid have a half dome clear cover. So here is my next question, all you MFH/Ferrari gurus... The following picture came from 2whl (Paul Cadwell) and it makes me wonder if stressing about the metal look underneath and the obvious rolled edge is somehow achievable. Has anyone ever considered making a mold from the resin kit piece and then actually hammering out thin metal to make the rear deck lid? I'm not saying I'm the guy to do it but it sure would be interesting, wouldn't it? (And yes, I am vamping for time trying not to ask UpScale again until next week about the status of my order... I have a full work schedule and a GT40 to finish but damn, I want this kit in the house!)

Not to detract from Patrick's upcoming project, but with the obvious interest there is in this car.........
Mike's Decals has a Revival 1/24th kit of this car for sale at the moment - a rare beast if you like the scale (not me).
cheers

It’s on the way from Indiana!
I’m so excited but need time and good weather to get the GT40MKII completed and across the line!

IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!
But I have a question... as I briefly looked through the kit, I didn't see any clear parts like for the wind screen. Did I miss something?

Found it! It was tucked up in the bodywork. I told you it would be there. You did! And there it was! No like all the other clear parts I have encountered but I am sure it will look tons better than those wavy imaged thick pieces in most automotive kits!
