Ah, that good old Ford DFV engine. I could tell all the parts and the build from what I did in the 1972 McLaren M19A. I don't think an engine ever had such a storied and successful run as this one! The only two years it didn't win an F1 championship in the 70s and into the 80s were the two years that Ferrari won!
Chris, you are an amazing builder and your builds are so clean. It is something for me to aspire to and I look forward to your work.

Chris, The engine/trans, and rear suspension are certainly up to your usual super high standards. In 1/8 scale the fuel lines, fittings, and braided lines look as real as scale can get.

It’s rather large!!!😛 so I managed to get the engine and tub together. Finished up the plumbing and some wiring. The pipes for the radiator’s needed some fixing. The hose joints where blue😳 definitely didn’t like that and the pipes were too shiny, nothing but some paint and some weathering took care of that.. Hope you like 👍

Chris, Those little touches continue create a super realistic 1/8 scale version of the real size Lotus 72.

The last couple days I have managed to wrap up the drivers compartment. Most of the stuff is as out of the box, but I did manage to add a few little details that make it stand out. The back of the gauge cluster was in need of some detail. Some detail paint, some wires and tubing where in order. I happy with the results, till next time 😉

That thing will never start if you don't close the electrical disconnect handle there on the roll over hoop.:>)

Love the seat detail especially the 6 way harness.
