It seems that I can’t sit still for even a day without thinking about what I want to build next. It usually comes around the time I have all the bags empty and all the paint work is finished and the mind starts to wonder. I do have a number of Model Factory Hiro kits and I made the decision to try a proportional kit. It may not be as extensive as a full detail kit but it has its challenges and It’s a great looking car. Yes it’s in 1/12 and I’m going to use the 2018 metallic colors. I like the way it pops. Thanks again for your feedback and continued support Chris

Chris, Interesting choice for sure as I'm a Ganassi fan as well these days. Not exactly sure what a proportional MFH kit is in 1/12 scale.

No detail engine, trans, suspension and the doors, deck lid and hood are not movable. Still have a lot of forward thinking about how you paint and assemble+ lots of decals

There are a ton of good Ford GT reference photos available in the Facebook GT/GTP Racing Scale Models group. The MFH kit is great but there is a lot that can be done to add detail to the interior and what you can see of the engine bay.

The basic tub is put together, it’s definitely not something I have become accustomed to. The lack of detail on the engine that won’t be able to see once the body is put on. No suspension to speak of and it comes with a fair amount of detail for the cockpit, but most of it is black and the doors don’t open. So hopefully you like what I have so far, more to come.

That’s looking really good so far. That’s the issue with all this modern carbon fiber stuff. Black everywhere!!! Lol. Looking forward to watching this come along.

Chris, The Chassis really does look quite good. While the interior is basically all plain Jane Matt Black the front Splitter and the side skirts being gloss Carbon Fiber really jump right out at you.
I tend these days not to spend much time on the interiors of race cars which are Black, as the end results other then the dash and seats are basically in the shadows, where my time can be better spent. Most people judge a model by it's overall paint finish, so that's usually my main priority these days.

And what we are looking at is the main body piece, I would have to say it took me all week just to get to this point. Lots of material used and a lot of time taping. All I need to do is paint the rest of the body parts and clear and decals…. Stay tuned
