Ismael, Your gear pre-selector really turned out looking quite nice. I think that you should have considered changing the T imprinted in the clutch and brake petals to the more Iconic "I" representing your miniature restoration shop.

No Bellhousing! That's why I went with a Wilson pre-selector!

Hello, Work that primer! Come on! Give me 1! and 2! and 3! One more! It won't see a drop of paint until the primer is perfect. Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, Egads, Richard Simmons is your personal trainer!!!!! He's actually 1 year younger then me ( I looked it up).
The Body is looking pretty good in its primer coat.
You my friend have really raised the bar on all your builds of late. Now if we can only get you to do a Ford or two.

Hello, To the best of my knowledge, the only two Wilson Pre-selector gear shifters I have ever seen in scale were both scratchbuilt... by me This one and the Talbot race car I finished back in 2022. As a reference here is the one from the race car. The shifter was painted black on road cars, polished metal on the race car. Slightly different styles but the exact same function. My understanding is that the gearbox (and all the powertrain for that matter) was the same between the race car and the road cars which I have seen referred to as "race cars in evening gowns" Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, I do remember the gear shifter you made for the race car, as I was confused (so what else is new) to it's actual function. I thought then, as I do now that you did an outstanding fabricating job on it.

Hello, First color coat. Now to let it rest for a few days before sanding down to almost nothing, then 2 or 3 wet coats and eventually clear. Thanks, Ismael

Hello,
Yes! As early as 1948, "Other notable features of the Talbot Lago 26-GS include hydraulic drum brakes on all four wheels, a 12-volt electrical system, and a fuel tank capacity of 18.5 gallons. Additionally, the car is equipped with a unique front suspension design that allows for variable camber and caster angles."
Thanks, Ismael
