...for the Rolex 24. Just pick a simple sportscar kit and try to finish in 24 hrs during the race. I have a 1/24 Tamiya Porsche 936 that I want to make into the 1981 Jules Lemans winner. Its a simple curbside kit and not many parts at all, plus its all white. Is anyone else in? or are you too chicken!?!?

Great idea Cal,
I may do the same. My local club has been doing 12hr and 24hr builds for years.

A simple kit? Pray tell what is that? I've never encountered one! LOL! I'm in with a Monogram Ferrari 250 P Targa Florio example. When is this event?

I can't get one done in 24 DAYS! Good luck to all the daring builders!

How about it, Chris?? You're quiet. How about a GT-40 in 24 hours?

Here is a link to a couple 12/24 hour builds. My local club has been doing an annual Le Mans 24 hour build since 2004 and 12 hour builds since the late 90's. A simple curbside like the Tamiya 936 that Calvin has chosen is easy to do in 24 hours. public.fotki.com/kurzheck/model-cars/12--24-hour-builds/

"Clear the track for racing, please!" A quote from an old vinyl record about Le Mans. I remember weird things like that, but sometimes forget to pull up my zipper when I'm done! Why is that?

I'm sorry to report that I will not be able to build the Targa 250 P. I already started it in the past. So, instead I'm going to make a Fisher NART 330 P2/3 "White Elephant". Hum-m-m-m-m-m now where did I get that idea?

A little over a year ago I made friends with a young man. I think he commented on something I posted online, His name is Jordan Taylor, he drives the #10 Velocity Corvette DP and won the IMSA DP drivers Championship last year, along with the Rolex 24 hr and 4 more DP races. We exchange email regularly and I am really impressed with him and his accomplishments. So I will be glued to the TV for 24 hours this weekend watching #10 Velocity Corvette DP and exchanging emails with him.. I know poor excuse for not joining the build but as I grow older I seem to have a more one track mind... Chris
