HI All Just a couple of photos showing progress on the Shadow Can Am car. Right now it’s just a basic styrene mock up. I was fortunate enough to obtain the specifications for this car from Don Nichols who is still vibrant at 93 years of age. It was quite an honor to talk to him. I will keep you updated. Thanks Kevin K.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. It always amazed me anyone could even fit in it, yet alone drive it. I'm pretty sure it was the only CanAm car that used a Hand Clutch!

I will make an exception to closed wheeled cars for this one CanAm racer! After hearing Don Nichols, George Follmer and the designer (?) give a talk about this beastie last May at Sears Point, I gotta have!!

A very beautiful and confidently handled project this. You clearly 'already have it', whereas looking forward here to the finished project.

Hi All I just received my white metal parts for the kit. I have been busy cleaning and buffing each one and making sure that all parts fit appropriately. I thought I would send you a couple of photos of the mock up process. I am getting near the end of the journey, its been a while. By the way I did use Model Master competition orange spray paint, it seem to be a perfect match. I am accepting pre-orders as of today. The price will $115.00 plus $7.00 S&H USA. You can contact me at silvercitymodels@comcast.net. If you have any questions you can call me at 724-747-9929. Decals can be ordered through Indycals.net. Thanks Kevin K.

Hi all, I just finished decaling the Shadow, as always Indycals did a great job on the decals. Everything fit perfectly and precise. One thing I have noticed about building this kit is that everything fit together the way it should. Usually in building a pilot model you always run into the situation of how did I measure that part wrong. Not with this one. I actually had fun and it was easy to do. I still need to apply a few parts, headers, mirrors, wind shield, and a very odd looking brake cooling system that attached to the chrome intake trumpets mounted on top of the roll bar. Last but not least, the cd instructions. I will keep you posted. Thanks Kevin, Silver City Models.
