Anxious to see pictures of your kit Rob once you receive it. I have started working on my own conversion. I like the MPC body but not the flares. I like the AMT flares but not the body. SO...I am attempting to graft the AMT flares onto an MPC body. Wish me luck!

Thanks for posting the pictures Rob. Are the wheels/tires cast as one-piece? I am hoping M&S will sell me just the decal sheet.

The wheels/tires are one piece castings with separate rims/trim rings.

Fantastic work. Did you finish the build?

thank you, the model is not yet finished, I am building a large (1: 1) DeKon Monza replica of the Le Mans 24 Hours and the "small" do not have time... I see that you're somewhere in Maryland, where in Butler he lives Michael Keyser, driver DeKon Monza ...

I missed the M&S kit. (dam limited production) I started a conversion based on the MPC kit here Don. The project has stalled out for now but I hope to finish it one of these days. Maybe this information will help you take on a similar project. race-car-models.proboards.com/thread/591/imsa-monza

I missed the M&S kit. (dam limited production) I don't believe it was a 'limited production' problem. As far as I understand, Quik Skins Resin Castings did all the resin castings for M&S Hobbies, including the DeKon Monza. In fact, M&S had bought the Quik Skins line of race car kits in 2017 ( www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/126040-quick-skins-ms-hobbies/). But Quik Skins's workshop was destroyed when the 'Camp" brush fire wiped out pretty much the entire town of Paradise, California where Quik Skins was located, in November 2018. My guess is that all masters and molds for all M&S and Quik Skins resin kits were also lost in the fire, because shortly after the Camp fire, most or all of the M&S resin kits disappeared from their web site. Fisher Model & Pattern was also located in Paradise and their entire workshop was also totally destroyed. Fortunately, I read somewhere that Paul Fisher and his family were able to evacuate to safety. If anyone knows more or if I am wrong about the above info, please feel free to chime in with a correction. Also note that the Quik Skins name has often been misspelled as 'Quick Skins', but Scalemates.com and some images of several of their kit boxes that can be found in Google's Images search show that Quik Skins is correct spelling ( www.scalemates.com/brands/quik-skins--4791).
