It's really hard for someone my age to realize that we've landed on Mars.
I still remember my Grandfather on my father's side telling us kids that he drove a NYC fire truck that was powered by live horses. He remembered reading about the Wright Brothers 1st flights in 1903 as he was born in the late 1880's, and lived to see a Man on the Moon. I wonder what he would have thought about a Mars landing now.

Gotta admit it is very cool and just enough different...Chris Yes it is. I've even got a Le Mans Miniatures kit of one. In 1/87 scale. :-) I suddenly have the urge to build it...

If I even managed to see a 1/87th model, I'd undoubtedly reach for my bug zapper.

NASA’s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter takes off and lands in this video captured on April 25, 2021, by Mastcam-Z, an imager aboard NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover. As expected, the helicopter flew out of its field of vision while completing a flight plan that took it 164 feet (50 meters) downrange of the landing spot. Keep watching, the helicopter will return to stick the landing. Top speed for today's flight was about 2 meters per second, or about 4.5 miles-per-hour.
