Hey Ben my friend had one of those Door stop wedges, and I think it spent more time under the wrench than it did on the road. thats one British car that had a bit of italian flair to it. That and his Pontiac Firebird with the OHC 6 cylinder with the timing belt, that also a bit of a dog to say the least. It was great for runs to the beach when it was running OK though.

I actually saw one of these all restored last weekend on the road. It was exactly the same too same colors and everything. That six certainly makes the ground tremble.

The one I should have bought was Signal Orange. bsmooth, the later TR-7s were actually pretty decent cars, as British cars of the day went. Mine was a ‘75, built at the Speke plant, so it was basically a catalog of common British car problems. I really need to pull my old Monogram TR-7 off of the Shelf of Doom and finish it. Ben

Ben I built an exhaust system for a guy with a TR8. It had a Holley carb, an Isky cam and Mallory ignition and it went like hell, and no problems.
My only complaint with the 914 was the styling, it just didn't really look like anything. I'd have preferred a hopped up Kharman Ghia.
