Now this is GREAT fab work. I just finished building a Race Team with a similar trailer setup. I sure like all the modifications.

I think I mentioned that this is the most ambitious scratch build I have done in my 20 years of diecast collecting. Would love to see what you have done, to see if I can pick up some ideas.

Didn't realize I hadn't updated this one for a significant addition, as well as now I have completed the project.
First, the addition of wall-mounted cabinets.
I found these resin cabinets on eBay. Pretty decent quality (need to be sanded flat on the back to true up the mounting surface) and nice detail with little pinhead drawer pulls.
After I figured out the floor plan for the trailer box, for the location of a couple of work benches, I went to work, determined the appropriate height, and superglued the cabinets to the styrene walls.
Then stored all the pit equipment in the trailer, as we would have when we went to a race.
I then started thinking about how I would display the entire setup.
We used to race at an abandoned Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas, so I went to Google maps, and found the section of concrete where we used to set up.
Went back to eBay, and found some more accessories, such as these canopies and some traffic cones, and staged it all in a diorama of sorts.
Going to call it Done!

Looks like a proper pit/paddock to me.

I LOVE IT!!!!!
The trailer is very much like my friend's trailer. I've slept in the box on the front at an offroad race course at Barstow. He sold the trailer to another friend. That friend had the trailer in back and had the box off the front of the trailer to do some modifications to the trailer frame. Some guy running from the cops came into his back yard and tried to hide in the trailer box. The cops found him, he refused to come out. They shot up the trailer and got him. Now the trailer needs a new box.
Just so you know, EZ-Up canopies were invented by a SoCal offroad racer and buggy guy. Cool that you added some to your diorama. Our offroad race Tech crew and race team has several of them. Including one that's printed with the Tech Team name. That one's 25' long and 12' wide. Kinda like 2 of yours put together into one with a ridge line on top instead of 2 peaks. It looks like you still need to bond the image of the concrete to some sort of board, maybe in sections for portability. You could have seams at the concrete seams, I suppose, with pins to align the sections. Or maybe use slot car track sections covered with the image of the air field concrete. Anyway, I REALLY LIKE your diorama.

Anyway, I REALLY LIKE your diorama. I was actually thinking about having a clear plexiglass housing built, with the concrete dry-mounted to the base.
Going to look into whether I'll need to refinance my house to afford it.
Thanks for the compliments, it was a labor of love.

Having a Plexi case CUSTOM MADE is NOT inexpensive. I made one for a model car(the Toyota Group 5 I posted in the thread about a Capri Gr 5 the other day) a long time ago. You should be able to make your own out of Plexi. You could use a plywood base. Or an old cabinet door, or?
