I've not had the opportunity to call Red Frog today. But this evening after dinner, I checked the Model Builders Warehouse for the HRM Ford GT 40 engine kit. "Sold out". Oh well.

I got a response via email from John @ Red Frog this evening.
"Richard, this is John. You are one of a couple people this has happened to. I'm calling our webhost service, let me see what is up!"
So I thanked him and will wait to see what shakes out. If it turns out that I'll need to wait a couple of months for the product, OK. As long as I know I can actually buy it.

I wish I could feel as comfortable with the situation as you do. I placed and paid for an order for several Historic Racing Miniatures products through Red Frog Hobbies on February 11. I got an email about a month later directed to several people that said their orders might take a few weeks. None of my emails or phone calls to Red Frog have been returned. My phone calls to Historic Racing Miniatures have dead ended at a full message box.

MBW may be all fine and dandy, but their site say the HRM GT40 engine kit is sold out.
So maybe I just need to find one or 2 via the re-sale market.

a really excellent build for sure. You just have to love those big brut 427ci Fords.
Also really liked following the discussion on engineless kits. Fujimi has some great kits like the 917 series, the Ferrari 330 P4, and the Ford GT40 & GT40 MKII, all without engines. I'm going to buy a HRM engine for the GT40 to upgrade the finished model.
So many of the closed body cars coming out of Japan/China these days don't have full engines, just lower ends. One kit I'm looking to buy and build is the Tamiya 1/24 scale Porsche 956 as it does come with a fully detailed engine compartment.
