Porsche used the slide valve intakes on the RSR which boosted output +20HP. Fujimi's RS 3.0 kit includes the high butterfly intake. Not aware of the slide valve setup being available in scale so I will make an effort to fabricate a reasonable replica. Kit parts I'm starting with: Modifications: - Added the twin plug/twin coil alternator
- fabricated some basic linkage
- Fuel pump tilting to one side just as Porsche mounted it on the 1:1

JC, I'm just plain speechless at your fabrication and attention to the smallest of details.
Honestly, I'd have gone with the Fujimi engine as I just wouldn't have known any better, and even if I did know, I couldn't have come close to what you've done.

What a shame that the engine is a two part affair with the bottom half molded into the chassis! Would have been great to see how you built up the entire thing.
And as I looked back to the first page, I see this is a two year build! Good to know someone else takes a hiatus every now and then!
Great looking modifications to make a mediocre body look great! I am very impressed!

Progress on the linkage. The connecting rods will be trimmed to length during final installation.

JC, linkage is really looking up to your usual standards.

Added supports across the opening. Cut out a PE screen insert. Lost the small resin grille that comes with the wing so I cut down the Fujimi piece.

JC, The engine really came together and surely looks the part. The rear deck is up to the rest of your build as to details and accuracy.

Pretty happy with the engine Joel - thanks. Finally able to get the body in primer and the wheels painted.

Is the gap between the door and fender something that can be adjusted?

Unfortunately no, but I am going to try and clean it up more. The panel gaps aren't very sharp on this casting.

JC, the body looks darn good in primer, and those wheels just "Rock" as we use to say in the good old days.
