Here's a few I am working on (a roadster conversion (MKII back to a MKI), a Mark II (red #3) a completed Lemans Miniatures (France) #8 and the other three are diecasts. A 1/43 Starter roadster is in the back for comparison. Decals for the two in progress will be coming from Spain. Attachments:

I've got 3 of the Fujimi GT40s in my stash at this point. The 1/43 scale Starter kit really towers over those truly miniature models. what scale are they? You must have excellent eyesight even with an Optivisor to work on them.

I'm guessing they are 1/87 (HO) scale. A tip of my hat to you for working on models that small. They look good.

Yes, they still make the 1/87 GT40 kits, along with other vehicles. Link: Le Mans MIniaturesHere is a build review I did on one of the Audi R8 kit several years ago: Link: Amazing43I still have a Ferrari 312PB longtail and a Porsche 908/3 to build. I'd like to build the Porsche one day as part of a Targa Florio diorama. Mike

Thanks for the link. That is a great Audi build. Thanks. FYI, I placed a decal order with Le Mans Miniatures on November 14 (late on the 14th - they actually got the order on the 15th) and it arrived today (November 23). Pretty dang good service France to Texas. Now, y'all order some tiny GT40s and get squintin'! Mike

Mike LOL...I can't get that small...even with the Magnifiers on..... it's funny you say order up...I just finished getting the '66 Le Mans.. Historic (probably never to be touched)1-2-3 finish (in 1/24th scale)from Fujimi. They are the curb side type of kits but man...they sure are cool. Nothing opens on the kit but they are a pretty good representation of the winning GT40s. At least I've got the 66 winners. I want to get all 4 winning years the gt40s did. I do have the Fugimi #9 MKI '68 Winner..the Gulf car and I also have the 67 MKIV #1 GT40 (Gurney/Foyt) But...it's Famous Fords Testors kit in 25th scale. I think I'm going to get one more fujimi #9 kit and turn that nine upside down to get the 69 winner...

Hi Gary, Indycals has that 1969 Gulf Ford GT40 decal set , wow 1/87 may be even too small for me.. I have done some nice 1/43 kits/conversions but even with the Opti-visor I dont know about 1/87...Good kit review on the Audi r8 though.. Chris

I should order the Indycal decals to add to this 1/87 kit I built about 30 years ago. I think the brand was Piccoliini. I noticed no side window either which will easy to fix. Attachments:

Thanks for the info Chris. The Fujimi decal sheet for the #9 '68 winner is a good one. The #s are seperate from the roundels and that is what gave me the idea of just turning them over...but...the sponsor decals are waaay different. Ha...no cheating there...LOL I just went to Indycals and order'd the sheet. I should order the Indycal decals to add to this 1/87 kit I built about 30 years ago. I think the brand was Piccoliini. I noticed no side window either which will easy to fix. Man Rex...that car looks GREAT! A great friend.....Scott Ridley ( a builder in Maine) also does 1/87. His 1/43 scale builds are nothing short of fantastic. He also says 25th & 24th scale is LARGE scale to him...LOL... Cracks me up..
