Hey guys~**~ Saw a link to this group on another forum and immediately noticed the focus is more on performance motorcars.... so count me in! I'm new to this type of race car, as well as the unbelievable quality and precision these foreign kit makers put into their kits. On top of that, discovering the array of high end aftermarket detail-up products designed specifically for these high dollar kits- It's official.... I'm hooked! I've been building (or putzing around) with model cars for years, focusing mainly on domestic kit straight liners until eventually just getting burned out on it all. I didn't realize it at the time, but most of my frustration was due to lack of project planning and the bad habits I'd developed over the years.....kinda made it impossible to build anything very well- so I'm working on changing all that! There are several reasons I enjoy being active on a forum such as this. Great building tips and ideas from the most accomplished craftsmen on the planet, the inspiration I get from seeing this awesome artwork come to life, and of course- making a new friend or two! Haven't been active at all over the last 5 or so, but after I discovered these exotics and LeMans type cars, I'm back at it....in a big way! To begin my venture into this type of car, I decided on 3 awesome kits produced by Tamiya to do over the next few months as a "winter project". Also there is an IPMS meet here in June, and my plan is to table these 3 cars as a group.
My first victim is the 24th scale revolutionary Ferrari FXX-K, which I recently started, the 24th scale flagship Enzo is next, and last but not least, the 2001 year (20th scale) F1 car. I'm looking forward to getting to know the group
