This once formidable manufacture has been struggling in F1 for the past several years. Now they couldn't manage to qualify for the Indy 500. Was Ron Dennis and/or Mercedes carrying them for all those years? They seam lost with no clear plan to move forward and upward.

Lesson: If you want to compete in the Indy 500, then you need to bring your A game. It looks like McLaren's A game is everybody else's D game.Alonso needs to hook up with a new team.

Everybody that is unfamiliar with it assumes oval racing is easier than road racing. Not really. They are different. None is easier or harder. It is simply a whole different game. If they learn from it and come better prepared next year, it would be a good thing after all. If they did not learn and repeat or worst, walk away, then it will be a shame.
