Good eye my friend - yes it is indeed a Starter kit from back in the day ... funny thing is they are what I carved my teeth on when I was just a kid. This is Rusty's 82' Grand Prix which still to this day is one of my favorite Stock cars of all time.
Different car in the Tribute Photo but love it so much.

Do the eagle next, I have that body and you can show me the way John Hi John!
The funny thing is that Eagle body is a both beautiful and terrible at the same time truth be told - I'm going to need days of dremeling just to prepare it for Primer - I have never received a body with the entire front monocoque as a solid piece - I'm going to have to dremel out the entire front end - or as much as possible given the angles involved. I already spent a day dremeling out the side pod openings as much as I could - that was no fun either! It's a challenging build for sure but I will try to post pics as I go - the whole posting as I go thing is new to me as I'm used to just putting my head down and going full tilt lol

Adrian, Personally I'd go with the resin stock car build to your usual standards. Just keep the detail pics and explanations coming no matter which direction you head in. It's all those details and how to achieve them that's my real interest. I do a lot of copy and paste for my reference files.

I really like that #2 Grand Prix! Keep it up, Adrian, and I'm going to end up with a NASCAR kit on my bench. Ben

Ben, More then likely me too. It's ok because they do turn both right & left twice per year.

Joel Joel I must say that I really have fallen in love with the whole Mustang Lure again. I had a Black 91' 5 Litre many years back and all I can say is man did that baby go like Stink! TRUE STORY: I punched her once on a lightly snowy road and paid the price by hopping over a mid curb and into on coming traffic while just barely hanging on to control - good thing it was 3 in the morning or I could have been toast ... no traffic out whatsoever.
So my passion for the other Prancing Horse if you will is routed in that Beast, and I just love the combination of that beautiful Pennzoil Yellow with that Mustang power pedigree!

Adrean, Me too. In 1970 I bought a 302 Mustang hatchback, but not the Boss. Had to hood custom painted in flat black while the rest of the car was Fire Engine Red. Lets just say that I did a little extra work on it and it also was a beast. Kept her for 10 years and 140k. Engine blew at 120k so I just rebuilt it and once again she sang like an Angel. Although, to be perfectly honest about it, I did blow a transmission which was my fault.
