You don't get three engines with the kit. You get the parts to build 1 1/2 engines in 3 different ways (two if you have spare parts lying around like me). A preliminary check shows that the body in my kit fits "fairly well", as in I've seen worse - so far! Don't forget these kits not be cheap, as they say. I waited a long time to find mine.

I did build an IMC but I re-engineered the whole kit and scratchbuilt a lot I used the D.O.H.C. out of the Gurney 68 Eagle kit I had to go through 3 or 4 kits just to get enough parts to make line up and fit, lots of stainless thinwall surgical tubing and RB Motion pieces in that build, Warpage was bad. Here is the Link race-car-models.proboards.com/thread/52/ford-gt40 It was featured in Model Car Builders Magazine The model was a replica of the real carthat was in the Briggs Cuningham Museum in Costa Mesa Ca. My Dad ran the R/C car races every Sunday during the 70's so I used to tag along and spend my time with Briggs, we would sit in the cars and he would tell me fantastic stories of driving them at places like Lemans, Spa and track all over the world. He was such a good friend and my Idol. Here is a few more pics mb2501.proboards.com/thread/2276/ford-gt40-build That was tough build that I may try again with the MK-IV or J-Car kits I have.. Chris

Chris I love looking at that build! The suspension is what gets me the most. How did you do the upper and lower rear stabilizers? And the scratchbuilt coil-overs and shocks? Just a beauty! Wish you had more WIP photos from when you were building it!

An amazing build, Chris! What (if anything) did you do to protect the wheels from the tires? I've always put on two coats of shellac around the inner beads of the wheels, seems to work.
