Thanks Chris I'm actually doing this for another forum also, but they didn't start the build until July 1st. So now I can go at it full time. (famous last words) I assembled all of the chassis pieces together and painted them grey. It's not the color the instructions call out, but I like the way details in the interior stand out with that color. The instructions called for white.

The reason the instructions call for white is the rules book called for a production based car/chassis so Porsche simply pulled a batch of chassis off the line and sent them to the race shop, the were all white.. I also prefer to paint them the color of the body or a color that lends itself to show the details a bit better. Once the cars were in Private teams hands most were completely torn apart down to the bare chassis and re-assembled to their spec. A lot of teams did paint them at that time..ie: Kremer usually painted them Body color or just the interior black.. Chris

Good info to know. Thanks, Chris. Not much progress I can show. Lots of clean-up of course. But I did get the basic engine and transmission pieces together.

With the chassis coming along, I switched to the engine.
