Adrian, I'd also go the solid darkish Gray over decaling the front suspension as I'd screw it up every time.

I find Nato Black (TS63) gives a close match to CF both in hue and luster. I wouldn't decal them either!

Paul, I also use Tamiya Nato Black to represent worn rubber or weathered Black. I can see it being a great simulated match for CF with a coat of clear semi gloss.

Ya I agree with you guys that decaling this small a scale of Suspension arms would be an exercise in utter frustration - it just wouldn't look good no matter how much time you spent to be honest. I hit most of my A-arms with Tamiya Rubber Blk - love the way it dries and gives a definite carbon fibre look.

So I'm in the middle of a move and all the madness involved in that - so when I have spare time I'm sneaking in modeling, but I don't have a tonne of extra time to go into all of the details I would like to in reagrds to these updates so I decided the best thing to do is just list what you are looking at and if you have any questions or criticisms please feel free to comment - Steering wheel for the Helio Car - real leather wrap. - Rear end detail is coming along with more still to do but getting close to completion. - Front wheel complete - centre cap is a real ball bearing sat in a Hex nut and then hit with flat clear. - Front suspension Arms - having so much fun with these as they were my plan way before I started this build to recreate the A - Arms with more detail and accuracy. - Mini Camera Adaptor seen on the 2021 Helio car - all the 2021's have this tiny adapter. - Interior cockpit components

Tamiya XF-85 is the acrylic version.
Good to know about the NATO Black! It never occurred to me to use it for CF.

Really Great Build! I like the use of rivets and bolts, the carbon fiber came out very nice and the paint/decals are perfect. I really like the look of this car, Thanks for sharing . Whats Up Next? I cant wait to see..... Chris

Adrian, Holy Smokes, the Meyer Shank Helio winning Indy 500 car came out perfect. Details everywhere my eye scanned. The overall visual presentation is your best yet by far. Stepping back and just taking it all in is like one again tuning into the race and seeing the car in victory lane.
From paint, to decals, to every little detail all ads up to one special build my friend.
Good luck on the move to a new place. Hope that you have a bigger modeling room or space.
