I can tell you what the single (and I mean single) most popular livery is for F1 builders in all scales... it is the Marlboro red/white from the Prost/Senna era. And there was a single 1/8th scale McLaren M23 of James Hunt. Want to guess the livery?
I think I saw a single Lotus 1978 in JPS black/gold. Not much else...
Next year, the convention will be in Omaha. A lot fewer entries I would venture... I mean, going to Las Vegas and going to Omaha? Seriously?

There were a few. I didn't judge these categories, as I was drafted as a 1/72 aircraft judge and helped with some heavy commercial categories (what I get for traveling alone this year).
There was a Lotus 78 in Imperial markings that Lotus used in a single race (Japaneese GP?), Several Ferrari F1s over several years 50's to modern, Benneton from '88, a Lotus 25, Mclaren from the early '00s, and a Mercedes from the '50s.
IPMS/USA National convention locations are (theoretically) suppose to rotate from East Coast, Midwest, and West coast. The depends on clubs actually bidding from those regions. If no club comes forward, it is awarded to the best presentation. For some unknown and unexplained reason, the National Committee awarded the 2022 convention at the 2019 Convention. No East Coast club was even notified that 2022 convention bids were going to be awarded. Conventions are awarded 2 years in advance, not 3. There was an exception once for Chattanooga because while it was "out of turn" for an East Coast convention, it was so good and on the border between East Coast and Mid West, the Committee granted it. 2023 was just granted to San Marco Texas because of the Pandemic Panic cancelling the 2020 event. I don't know if there was any bids for the 2024 presented. Folks are still getting home or just plain worn out to post.
This will be the 4th Convention in Omaha. Trust me when I tell you that the attendance, number of entries, and number of vendors will dwarf Vegas. Vegas has been described by some as an equal to an East Coast IPMS Regional convention. It was smaller, yes, smaller vendor and attendance wise than locals show in Richmond, VA and No.Va.(DC Suburbs). Just the number of models were greater is Aircraft, Armor, and diorama categories.

So Mark, I didn't quite understand when you said Omaha will "dwarf" Las Vegas. Are you saying there will be a ton more models and vendors? Because the Las Vegas show was about the size I remember from Dallas back in the 90s. The exact year escapes me... I would have to look at the presentation plaque.

I have attended the IPMS/USA Nats at Omaha for the past two events (2011 & 2017) and with a large room the size of the model room at Vegas full of vendors, another about half the size of the vendor room at Vegas and 2 more rooms where a single vendor (with several tables) will occupy, you will understand just how small the Vendor attendance was at Vegas.
I think you can find videos and pictures from these events. 2019 Chattanooga (450+ vendor tables and could have sold more if they could have been found)and 2005 Atlanta (the record setting vendor and model entries) dwarfs them both combined(Vegas + Omaha). Hampton 2014 and Va Beach in 2008 comes close. Until you see in person shows this size, can you grasp the size and scope of them and how Vegas doesn't compare. I have been attending IPMS Events for over 30 years on two continents. So I have a little experience in this area.
