Good Afternoon Fellows, FINALLY managed to decal Firestone gold Stripes and letters onto IndyCals Indy 68 tires. The unknown tire decals were sensible in that ONLY the stripe ring and Firestone had adhesive that allowed the stripe to slide off the backing easily without a big piece of clear backing wrinkling up (are you listening Fred Cady). Now about the pics: The next few posts will show middle and small production class sports cars and sedans that ran at Mid America raceways in the '60's. Some shots may have some water damage but I hope you like them. We did have Pete Brock Racing BRE team Datsuns and Ritchie Ginthers Porsche 914s and other pro's and amateurs and "Rare Birds" over the years. Will do some "Big Bangers" in a week or so. Love the Brumos 911 and the 914s. I would like to find the correct wheels to build a SCCA 911 of that era.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane. Back in 1967 I tried my hand at Bridgehampton running time trails in my MGB with dreams of then going into SCCA regionals in EP, but it quickly became apparent even to this dreamer that what mods and race conversions I did, it still has to be legal for the street, plus constantly taking the windshield and bumpers off and on really started to annoy my Dad to the point of him saying enough is enough. So I switched gears, cleaned out my small savings account, bought an Enduro Kart and went racing. 3 years later I won the North East Regional Stock Heavy Championship.

Some more mid Production shots from MAR in the Swinin '60's, the Best of Times. The Mini is before it had "It's a Super Dooper Mini-Cooper" on it's hind quarters. I always thought the "Team Starfish" Backaruda looked cool. Thanx for viewing, John
