Afternoon Fellows: First of a couple of posts about Exotic and Expensive thoroughbred sports racing cars that ran at Mid America Raceways MAR in the '60's. Some raced at Sebring 12 Hours and Daytona 24. I''ll start with the earliest first and move up to 1970. It kind of all ended after that. We did have an IMSA or two and they really showed racing progress but at a price, not so fun anymore to me. Identify cars and drivers if you can for the historians out there. This series has the Iso-Grifo driven by Bill McGlauflin, Chaparral 1 by Ronnie Hissom I think, Marvin "Bill" Schoenfelds Corvette "Gran Sport" (Buick Gran Sport emblem on rear deck),KXOK Chevrolet Special driven by Mike Smit which make is unknown to me but really intrigue's me (sorry for the slide damage). Thanx for viewing, John.

When my Dad owned the slot car shop I always ran the Iso-Griffo body , for some reason to me, it was a real Race Car! At least back in the sixties. Too bad about the slide damage these are some really great Race cars. Love it! Chris
