Great racing at the VIR yesterday!

I braved the weird weather Saturday and trekked up to the VIR for the IMSA race. From Raleigh to about ten miles from the track it was like a monsoon, and then the rain just stopped. Driving home, same thing. The teams all had rain tires fitted but they switched to slicks right before the race. The GTLM race was pretty close; too bad there were only three cars. It would have been nice to have had the BMW M8s running, too. The GTD race was mostly decided with a little help from the #3 Vette. If the upcoming C8R GT3 is anywhere as awesome as the GTLM car, GT racing will be pretty entertaining. 


I took lots of pics of this car to send to SK Decals. They’re looking for suggestions for the new Nunu Audi R8 GT3 Evo.




The world REALLY needs a 1/24 Huracan GT3 Evo kit!

Both Corvettes should have been penalized.

I have the BMW M6 GT3 in 1/18 scale from AutoArt. It is sealed resin, no opening parts, but a nice model, nonetheless.

The #3 Vette was definitely at fault when he hit the Turner car. I'm surprised he wasn't penalized. 



I missed whatever the #4 Vette did, although I did notice he had somehow knocked his pitot tube off. There was a scuffle between both Vettes and the Porsche at one point, but I was on the wrong end of the track to see it.


Jim, I built the 1/24 Nunu M6 last year as the Turner car and have a second one to build as the PlayStation car. Great kit!
