Good Morning Fellows, how about some meat balls for lunch? My "Hinomaru's" (Japanese aircraft roundels) decals came in yesterday. I just installed on my Mid-West Division SCCA 427 Cobra driven by Jack Hurt. I believe he was out of Paduca, KY. Six different sizes in 1/48 scale (1/72 is too small) and I needed two sizes, larger on the hood and trunk, smaller for side. They all fit almost perfectly. I need for them to dry then slit at hood and trunk hinge points. The number 1 car would be easier but I like the looks of the number 11 with it's layered 11 with its black over white numbers. That one raced at my home town track. I can finish it now, just needs the side pipes, padded rollbar and cut down windscreen, then to the museum. Quite happy with the red Meat balls they really break up the white. And Yes, it was featured in Elvis's "Spin Out" movie! Thanks for looking, John

Nice Cobra Grandsport. The picture reminds me of a Cobra we used to race with. A guy by the name of Dick Workman. One of the last AP Cobras racing on the west coast in the early to mid 70's. I always wondered what happened to that car.

Nice work John. Looks like you used the 1/25 scale Sunny/Academy/Minicraft kit.

$No, this is the WIXX Oil filter promo, a beautiful 1/24 diecast you can get on eBay for under $50.00 (I gave $35.00 a couple of times).

John, I really like this one! SCCA cars are great due to the fact that they are driven by mostly everyday guys, no lights, camera, just a lot of action. I have a WIX GT40 that is rather well done right out of the box. Good line of models. Again Thanks this is a Great Cobra. Chris

Afternoon Fellows, The yacht thing has come to a grinding halt, the marina wants me to move because the 1/2 Million dollar Benetaeu sail boat guys don't like my nasty, old 1968 Chris Craft. So I've got to move by the end of the month.
Been finishing up the "Big Iron" that ran at MAR 1964-1968 and packing for the hometown museum. Got two others I'm most way done with The Durant Special and Alan Barkers B-Production National Champion Sting Ray roadster to ship next week. The number 47 Marvin "Bill" Schoenfeld 64 Sting Ray "Gran Sport" with Buick Gran Sport name place on the rear deck lid) was a stripped version, a little lighter that a stock SR so have to run in C-Modified class but ran VERY fast. The numbers on the real car were hand painted and out-of-kilter and I used a chopped staple as the hood front grab handle. Ran at Road America and Elkhart Lake also. That's his silver and black SR above with John Martin's 63 SR coupe left above and Jack Hurts 427 Snake left below. Prple '60 Corvette is the Nickey Chevrolet "Purple People Eater" that also ran here. Will mail off tomorrow, that'll free up a little room.
Time to start and quickly finish the Corvette "Dream Cars" & Bubble tops, that I will donate to the San Diego Automotive Museum. Thanx for viewing, John
