Good evening Fellows, It has come to this Time in My Life that I must disinvest myself from the Hobby! A hard decision to make but I acquired too many projects over the years to EVER complete and my Love for 1960's era race cars became an expensive addiction. I imagined myself as a good Modeler but with my age (almost 70) has came limitations. I have acquired the Dream of my Life, a 38 ft cabin cruiser that needs a lots of work I have to devote myself to. The Corvette projects are almost finished and I'll mail them off.
I have the following early and mid-1960's 1/25 and 1/25 scale projects that I am selling off to Enthusiasts that will build them or use for their own projects. I wanted to construct full chassis, suspensions, engines and transaxles and unique bodies. I have each project in 4 - drawer with upper tray and lid 12 H x 8 W x 12 L inch yellow and black Harbor Freight parts holders.
I have these boxes full of unique model car and slot car bodies, and model car chassis, suspensions, engines and transaxles, tire & wheels, decals and exhausts to make complete models of:
Ford GT Spyders and coupes Cobra roadsters 289 & 427 Ferrari 330 P,330 P2,330 P3,330 P4,365 P2
Lola T70 Chaparral 2, 2C, 2F, 2G McKee Lotus 30/40 Lotus 29/34 BRM 64/65/66 Hussein II
Lola GT Mk VI Corvette XP 64, XP 700 XP 755, Honda RA 272 E Cheetah Scarab King Cobra/Cooper-Ford
Corvette Grand Sport coupe and roadster Also: spray paint, tools and air brushes and misc.
I will inventory and photo each box price will be determined for each car type but will be between $50 to $300 approximately depending on how many cars per make. S & H is up to buyers wishes. Photos will be attached this week end, it pains me to do this but I'd rather see Enthusiasts build them. Thanx, John

John, I very sorry You have chosen this path but completely understand. Getting Old is B**tch but I plan on going for a lot longer or at least changing to HO slot Car Racing , building a track and enjoying my other Hobby! I am interested in a few things but the budget may not be as big as my interest's. Looking forward to pics. Chris

I'm fighting off the same feeling. My work is getting a bit less perfect. I'll be 74 this December and my fingers sometimes lock up. Getting older sucks.

I'm right with you guys as I turned 74 on 11/14. Still building and struggling with failing eyesight but I'm not giving in as yet. I keep on asking myself why I'm still buying kits as the odds are I'll never build them in the years I've got left, but the addiction is still to great to stop.
As for my other hobby, I'm still hooked on Simulation auto racing. Getting a little slower by the year, and no longer race online, but still am pretty competitive off line. I mostly race GT3 cars with the Porsche 991, 911, and the Mclaren 720S being my current rides.

Here are some shots of the Ford GT projects I was stocking parts for. My camera quit uploading so I send you what I have and download the rest tonight after the phone battery charges. The parts are in a 12 x 12 x 8 yellow and black harbor Freight 4 drawer parts box with an open top for the bodies and chassis. I divided parts into trays, the WIXX Ford GT MK II Holman-Moody has two complete kits (disassembled) the WIXX logo and made in China and other lettering have been sanded down and the chassis painted the dark blue Ford used and the excellent Firestone tires and wheels, engines etc are in he two lower drawers. Also two complete (1 GT 40 Body) IMC/Union kits all parts, 1 Monogram Spyder paint stripped), 1 each Revell, Classic and Unique painted GT-40 Spyders, a Revell junk body. various engines, trans, carbs, exhausts and wheels and tires, various decals. Enough to do or complete a good Ford -GT collection. I'm asking $250 plus shipping. I'll throw in some of my Back in the Day magazines also. Will go on eBay next week if unsold to club member. Thanx for viewing, John
