I like the finish you got on the engine, very realistic.
For the record, I use a DeWalt DCD771 20 volt cordless drill (simply because all my tools are DeWalt or Stihl).
It’s just a wash with Tamiya brown panel liner, Wolfie! Worked really well! I have a Dremel and a BD cordless but the torque on both are ginormous. My wife will be able to use this little drill on her trains once she gets on track with that! Thanks for your kinds words!

Patrick, Don't know what I was thinking about the 6 cylinders being 12 cylinders with the duel plugs.
yep, my wife is getting a brand new custom made right shoulder, and has a new left hip. Yet, they don't do eye transplants which I really need at this point.

I think the biggest lesson I am learning with building an MFH kit is patience... lots and lots of patience. I have brought stuff to work on but not enough because I should be doing something else while something dries... it is a bit of a trial for me. But it is a great lesson to learn.

Some progress on the transmission and rear brakes... not a lot of detailed engineering on the brakes... they just get glued in place... also the rear axles don't rotate... is this standard for MFH? My first experience bending cooper wire for brake lines. It was interesting to say the least, especially figuring out how to do the loops. Hope they look okay to your aficionados of MFH out there... By the way, the photos show almost gold on the color of the trans but it is metallic grey... Working towards mating the engine to the transmission... time is so important... as in "Take your, time, Patrick!" As always, your comments and criticisms are welcome.

I like it. Impeccable workmanship as always, it'll look like a 1:1 car when it's done!

I have found a weak link... more specifically a weak joint in my build... the place where the transmission mates to the engine. Everywhere else there are screws to make a tight joint but not here. Even superglue will crack.
I am thinking of adding a few just for reassurance... it is ALWAYS the weakest point in almost every build... transmission to engine... and since the rear of the car stays up off the ground due to the fit, I'm thinking it needs reinforcement.

No the axle’s will not rotate/ not like Tamiya. If you’re worried about the adhesive working on the two parts maybe try JB weld.

JB weld will be next if it happens…
Thanks Chris!
Does it look okay?

Patrick, I'm just super impressed at how you assembled and detailed the transaxle and brakes. All those lines and fittings look perfect. Some one just surfing and finding your build would never even think that you're a rookie 1st timer with a MFH kit.

Thank you Joel! And everyone… you are all too kind!

Since both the engine and trans attach to the bottom frame member, I don't think you'll have an problem with that joint. There is no load going through it.

Patrick, Just an amazing build of the engine/transaxle with it's associated tubing. Well done my friend, very well done.
